One service, one kind of truck
PowerOnlyDispatch is a dispatch desk that works only for power only carriers: semi tractors with their own authority pulling trailers that belong to someone else.
What we do
We find, negotiate and book power only freight for our carriers: preloaded drop and hook trailers, broker power only loads, tow away and load out moves, and program loads from trailer pools. We set up broker packets, read rate confirmations for interchange and detention terms, make check calls and follow up on detention, layover and TONU claims. Every load gets the carrier's approval before it is booked.
We are a dispatch service working for carriers. We are not a freight broker, a load board, an insurance agency, a lender or a law firm, and we don't claim partnerships with the programs and brokers we book with.
Why only power only
Power only has its own problems: trailers that aren't where they should be, interchange agreements, empty miles to reach pools, and programs with their own apps and rules. A desk that does nothing else gets good at those. We don't dispatch box trucks, hotshots or trailers our carriers own, so our attention stays on the trailer pools and brokers that move power only freight.
How the desk works
- Each carrier gives us a short brief: home base, lanes, home time and a floor rate.
- Dispatchers work load boards, program apps and broker contacts against that brief.
- Load offers come with the full math: empty miles, loaded miles, pay and all-in rate.
- Dispatchers are on the desk nights and weekends, when trailers often get released.
- Carriers get a weekly report per truck. Our fee is 6% of gross for one truck and 5% for 2+ trucks, with no setup fee and no contract.
