What the result means

  • Weekly dispatch fee is the total for all your trucks at the rate that applies to your fleet size.
  • Net after dispatch is your weekly gross minus that fee. Fuel, insurance and other costs still come out of it.
  • Monthly uses 52 weeks divided by 12, so it is an average month, not a calendar month.
  • Fleet rate saves you appears when you run 2 or more trucks and shows the weekly difference against the single-truck rate.

How it is calculated

rate          = 6% for 1 truck, 5% for 2 or more trucks
weekly gross = weekly gross per truck × tractors
weekly fee = weekly gross × rate
net = weekly gross − weekly fee
monthly fee = weekly fee × 52 ÷ 12
annual fee = weekly fee × 52

The rates come straight from our pricing settings, so the calculator always matches what we charge. There is no setup fee, no minimum and no contract; the agreement is month-to-month with 30 days notice.

Assumptions

  • Weekly gross per truck is your own estimate. Use an average week, not your best one.
  • The fee applies only to loads hauled. Real weekly fees go up and down with the loads you run.
  • Estimates only; your dispatch agreement sets the actual terms.

How to use it before you sign with any dispatcher

  1. Enter a realistic weekly gross for one truck.
  2. Set the number of tractors you will put on dispatch.
  3. Compare the weekly fee with what other services charge and with what each includes: load sourcing, rate negotiation, broker setup, check calls, detention claims, weekly reports, night and weekend coverage.
  4. Copy the link to keep the numbers.

A fee only makes sense next to the rates a dispatcher can get and the costs you carry. Read power only rates per mile for how loads are priced, and power only insurance for the biggest fixed cost most power only carriers have. Full terms are on our power only dispatch service pages.

FAQ

Is the fee charged on weeks I don't run?

No. The fee is a percentage of the load pay on loads you haul. A week with no loads costs nothing.

When does the fleet rate apply?

When you run 2 or more power only trucks with us. Every truck, including the first, is then billed at 5% of gross instead of 6%. It is a standing rate, not a promotion.

Should I compare a percentage fee with a flat weekly fee?

Yes. Put your typical weekly gross into this calculator and compare the result with the flat fee, then compare what each service includes. A percentage costs less in slow weeks and more in strong ones.

Does the result include fuel and my other costs?

No. Net after dispatch is gross minus the dispatch fee only. Use the load profit calculator to include fuel and running costs.
